The mission of American Lutheran Church expresses our beliefs, priorities and values in our journey together as a faith family. For over 75 years, our congregation has worshiped, grown, educated and supported one another.
ANNALS
American Lutheran Church has grown from humble beginnings in a rented liquor store on Main Street, La Porte City in the early 1940s to our present congregation at home on Monroe Street.
LEADERS IN FAITH
We have been blessed with the leadership of pastors who have overseen the growth of the congregation while working to help each member grown spiritually in the body of Christ.
OUR COMMUNITY
Service, with and outside the church, is always central to the ALC Family.
JOIN US ONLINE
When in-person worship and fellowship became a challenge due to COVID-19, our congregation turned to technology to help us bridge distance and stay in touch with each other and our faith. As an alternative for those who remain vunerable to face-to-face encounters, we continue to offer our services through online platforms.
