Speak Lord!

God wants to speak to us. When he does, are we able to say with Samuel, "Speak, for thy servant hears"? Often, we listen to so many other voices — the voice of self-seeking, the voice of pleasures, the voice of ambition, of prestige and of pride. But how attentive, the voice of God? Perhaps we have difficulty in discerning the voice of God. One sure way to overcome this difficulty is to set ourselves in silence. The more time we spend daily in being alone with God, communicating with him in the stillness of our heart, the more clearly we can discern God's voice when he speaks to us.
What occupies our mind? What disturbs our silence? Is it possible to set up a minute to speak to the Lord? Is it possible to listen to the Lord?
Speak Lord, for they servant hears.
